Levelized Payment Plan

 

 

• On the “Levelized Payment Plan” the monthly bill is calculated by a rolling average of your electric usage for
• the most recent 12 months. For instance, this month’s bill would be the average electric usage of the previous
• 11 months, plus this month. The only true-up is when the account is removed from levelized or if the service is
• terminated.
• The levelized amount will change slightly from month to month, and the 12-month average guards against drastic
• changes in your bill, even during the coldest and hottest months. The levelized amount will include the electric,
• water, sewer and outside light amounts only.  Any other charges, such as TVA loans and miscellaneous service
• charges, will be billed in the usual manner.
• The meter(s) will be read each month and the customer’s bill will continue to show the actual usage and charges
• for each of their services.  The levelized amount will also be shown.
• Levelized Payment Plan can be established once you have twelve (12) months of service at the same location
• and your account must be current (no past due amounts).
• If levelized bill payments are not made promptly the account is subject to the normal collection procedures of
• CUB. This may also result in the removal of the account from the Levelized Payment Plan at which time your
• next regular bill will be a settlement bill and will include all unpaid and current charges.
• You may cancel your Levelized Payment Plan at any time, at which time your next regular bill will be a
• settlement bill and will include all unpaid and current charges.
