Water & Sewer Rate Adjustment (Effective with meters read on or after July 1, 2019)

 

In order to comply with the State of Tennessee Code § 68-221-1010 requiring water and wastewater utilities to operate with a positive change in net position, the CUB Board of directors approved a rate adjustment effective with meters read on or after July 1, 2019.  This represents the first water & sewer rate adjustment since November 2015.  CUB customers continue to receive the benefit of the lowest water & sewer rates in the region with CUB city customers paying approximately 50% less than surrounding utilities and CUB outside the city customers paying 20-30% less.  CUB Water & Sewer Department remains 100% debt free and strives to hold costs down while maintaining an infrastructure that promotes development and the highest quality of service.
